TrueBeam

The TrueBeam platform (also known as SpeedBeam) is a fully integrated image-guided radiotherapy and radiosurgery system that can treat any tumor suitable for radiotherapy anywhere in the body, including lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and head and neck tumors. Using innovative, intelligent, and intuitive approaches, it enables everything from rapid imaging to precise dose delivery, helping clinicians perform complex cancer treatments with greater confidence, significantly improving treatment safety and efficiency, and flexibly addressing lesions throughout the body.

Currently, the Varian TrueBeam system is one of the world's most advanced high-end radiotherapy devices integrating image guidance. The system employs numerous innovative technologies that can simultaneously handle imaging, patient positioning, and motion management during complex cancer treatments. Even when the tumor constantly moves due to the patient's breathing during treatment, the system can still accurately capture the tumor's new position. Through high-intensity mode, the system can accurately and rapidly deliver doses more than twice as high as previous generation technologies, significantly reducing the required treatment time.

At the same time, the TrueBeam system achieves unprecedented sub-millimeter precision. This high precision stems from TrueBeam's mature and comprehensive system architecture, which establishes a high level of synchronized management among imaging, patient positioning, motion management, beam adjustment, and dose delivery, completing a precision verification of the entire treatment process every 10ms. During treatment, more than 100,000 data points are monitored by the system, ensuring the system maintains a true center point — the focal point of treatment.

TrueBeamThe system empowers radiotherapy with leading technology and can be applied to tumor treatment throughout the body including nasopharyngeal carcinoma, laryngeal cancer, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, liver cancer, rectal cancer, cervical cancer, brain tumors, and prostate cancer. Its unique dynamic irradiation technology provides precise displacement control for lung and liver cancers that move significantly with breathing, offers more effective safety protection for normal tissues around the tumor, helps reduce side effects during treatment, and achieves better therapeutic outcomes benefiting more patients.
